Job Description

Balsam International is looking for Jr Talent Acquisition Specialists to support our Manila and global recruiting teams. You will take charge and see to it we provide the best candidate experience to talented individuals, as we guide them through hiring at Balsam. In this role, you will coordinate and connect with hiring managers and other team members -- scheduling interviews, facilitating assessments, and leading debriefs. You are the hiring team’s partner in crafting the best experience for our applicants. You will lead top talent through our recruiting and interviewing process as you share what it’s like working at Balsam.

Our ideal candidate is proactive and has a high level of organization, passionate about crossing the t's and dotting the i's to ensure our teams have an efficient hiring process. You are expected to have great written and verbal English communication skills and can work comfortably through electronic means.

The Jr Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Talent Acquisition Lead in Manila and Director of Recruiting in the US. You have the opportunity to partner with various team members in functional and external initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

  • End-to-End Recruitment
    • Facilitate recruitment from defining skill needs, creating hiring forms, job descriptions to building talent pool and filtering quality candidates
    • Launch roles as required by the company and as stated by the hiring plan
    • Understand recruiting priorities and ensure alignment with recruiting team
    • Evaluate and screen potential quality hires and assist them through the interview and hiring process
    • Establish strong working partnerships with internal hiring teams and recruiting team members
    • Report high-level recruitment updates during huddles and other meetings
  • Recruitment Marketing & Campaigns
    • Build relationships with agencies, professional associations, and other potential sourcing partners
    • Assist the team in promotional events and campaigns, such as career fairs in universities and other HR and People Team events
    • Maintain and monitor social media accounts and other recruiter profiles
  • Initiatives
    • Think out-of-the-box to improve the Balsam employer brand and recruiting processes
    • Assist other internal teams with special projects or tasks on occasion
    • Co-lead or assist in small recruitment initiative
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any course, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Recruiting experience using various channels including use of ATS is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (assessment will be conducted)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - must be able to communicate to individuals on all levels
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Proven multi-tasking ability, especially with multiple high-priority tasks
  • Proactive attitude and learner’s mindset (asks questions, gives feedback, clarifies potential issues, etc.)
  • Comfortable in working through tasks via electronic means (email, chat and task management applications)

Location: The Jr Talent Acquisition Specialist position is a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan or certain parts of Laguna only (Biñan, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Baños, San Pedro and Santa Rosa).
