While we presently operate under a hybrid model with in office requirements on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, this can change at any time based on company needs.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Hiring & Onboarding Leadership including:
    • Supporting and running the overall Organizational Recruitment Strategy
    • Posting Jobs – Website, LinkedIn, exploring other effective avenues
    • Vetting candidates - resumes & first interviews
    • Co-ordinating technical interviews
    • Facilitating salary negotiations
    • Completing reference checks
    • Providing Onboarding support for Regional Managers (including coordination of training)
    • Leadership and promotion of the referral program
    • Coordination with external recruiters (if applicable)
    • Tracking of trends, reporting & support for diversity goals
    • Leading the internship hiring & program continuation
  • Benefits Coordination – Support the administration and analysis of benefits programs, provide recommendations for future updates based on industry and usage trends
  • Cultivates professional network by participating in Coastal Engineering industry networking events, to identify top talent, when needed.

Additional job responsibilities may include support with the following:

  • Legislative compliance – assist with the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and best practices in the following countries: Canada, USA, Chile, Australia, UK, Barbados and Jamaica.
  • Change management – assist with supporting change management on an organizational level and optimizing positive results.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, additional HR related experience is considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, spoken, and written communication skills (English).
  • Flexible work style, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, meet challenging deadlines, and support multiple locations (including work in other time zones).

Preferred (Optional) Qualifications:

  • Certified Human Resource Profession (CHRP) Designation 
  • Strong network of connections, specifically with Engineering/Coastal/Marine experience.
  • Experience working with an organization specializing in Architecture, engineering, or construction considered an asset.
