Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Team as a EO & AI Search Executive ! 🌟
Are you passionate about telecoms? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment? At Babble, we’re on a mission to be our customer’s most trusted advisor for cloud-based technologies. We’re looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our dynamic team. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
What will you be doing?
Babble's marketing function is building the capability to be found, trusted, and chosen — both by traditional search engines and by the AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) increasingly used to research and shortlist suppliers. This role is the hands-on execution engine behind that effort: doing the technical SEO and AEO work day to day, supporting web health and digital experience, and assisting with conversion rate optimisation, all under the direction of the Demand Performance Manager, who owns the strategy and standards for these capabilities.
This is an entry-level role (suited to up to 2 years' experience) for someone who wants to build a career in digital performance marketing. Babble is looking for the right mindset — curiosity, analytical rigour, and comfort with AI tools — over specific platform experience.
Accountabilities and Deliverables:
- Carry out on-page and technical SEO improvements across the Babble website — site structure, metadata, schema markup, page speed, and crawlability
- Support the move into answer-engine optimisation (AEO) — structuring and formatting content so it can be surfaced and cited by AI-powered search tools, not just ranked by traditional search
- Carry out keyword and topic research to inform content briefs, working closely with the content team
- Monitor and report on organic search and AI-search visibility performance, flagging issues and opportunities to the Demand Performance Manager
- Support web governance — identifying broken links, outdated pages, and accessibility issues, and helping maintain an accurate picture of overall site health
- Assist with CRO activity — setting up A/B tests, tracking conversion funnels, and implementing agreed changes to landing pages under guidance
- Use AI tools to do the job faster and better — e.g. AI-assisted technical audits, AI-supported content brief generation, automated reporting — rather than simply being aware AI exists
- Keep up to date with SEO/AEO/CRO best practice and bring emerging techniques back to the team
Core Competencies:
- Curious, analytical mindset — comfortable digging into data before acting
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear, concise written communication
- Quick to learn and adopt new tools and platforms
- Collaborative — works well with colleagues across the UK, South Africa, and Kosovo
- Takes ownership of tasks while knowing when to escalate
- Genuinely interested in how AI is changing search and content discovery
Key Performance Indicators
- Improvement in organic search visibility and rankings against an agreed baseline
- Presence and citation in AI-search results (AEO) — directional measure while this is an emerging discipline
- Website health metrics — page speed, crawl errors, and broken links resolved
- Contribution to conversion rate improvements on prioritised pages
- Turnaround time and quality of SEO/AEO input provided into content briefs
Qualifications
- 0–2 years' experience in a digital marketing, SEO, or web-related role (placement, internship, or academic project experience counts)
- A basic understanding of how search engines and AI-search tools find, rank, and surface content
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics (or equivalents) is helpful; training will be provided
- Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets
- Confident using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to support day-to-day work
- Note: Babble prioritises mindset and analytical rigour over specific tool or platform experience for this role
