What will you be doing? 

The Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to Product Directors, driving financial performance and supporting informed decision-making. This role combines strong analytical capability with commercial insight to influence business outcomes, improve processes, and ensure robust financial planning across assigned Product Pillars. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

Accountabilities and Deliverables: 

  • Deliver clear and insightful reporting for assigned Product Pillar(s), including KPIs, analysis of variances, trends, and performance drivers.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for assigned Product Pillar(s) and develop financial models to support scenario planning and strategic decisions.
  • Track performance against budget, forecast, and strategic targets.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including Product Directors and Product Managers.
  • Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making through data-driven insight.
  • Translate complex financial statements into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor costs within assigned Product Pillar(s) and assist in identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of customers, products, and suppliers within assigned Product Pillar(s), with a broad understanding across other Pillars.
  • Prepare high-quality management reporting packs for leadership teams.
  • Partner with central finance teams (Management Accounting, Financial Control) to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and governance standards.

  • Strong technical accounting skills combined with commercial acumen
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Very high attention to detail; proactive and self-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Adaptable and resilient in a changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ability to link financial insight to business strategy
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence non-finance colleagues and drive commercial outcomes
  • Confident in presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders

 

What else looks good for this role: 

  • Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica, Workday) and financial reporting tools (Power BI)
  • Sector experience in Digital Communications (Unified Comms and CX Platforms)

Qualifications

  • Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Finance role, with 2+ years providing commercial experience
  • Previous experience in a similar industry (Telecoms or SaaS) or business environment (PE-backed, fast-paced)

Hybrid-Working Policy

You will be contracted to work from the office; however, Babble operates a non-contractual Hybrid Working Policy whereby you will be required to be in the office on company anchor days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and may work from home on Wednesday and Friday, unless your role has different requirements.
