Graduation Internship: Cloud Engineering & Hybrid Infrastructure

Are you an ambitious HBO IT student with a passion for cloud technologies and automation? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a large-scale hybrid environment and work with cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code? Then this internship is for you!

You’ll not only explore cloud technologies but also work with our on-premise Hyper-V environments. These systems are critical today but are candidates for migration to Azure where improvements can be made giving you insight into modernization strategies and hybrid architecture.

Reach your full potential as a Cloud Engineering Intern

During this internship, you’ll dive into our complex IT landscape, which combines two self-managed datacenters with a rapidly growing Azure cloud environment and a Kubernetes platform on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You’ll work alongside experienced Cloud Engineers and contribute to projects that impact thousands of users worldwide.

What you’ll do

• Support cloud operations: Assist in managing and optimizing our Microsoft Azure environment.
• Learn Microsoft 365 administration: Gain experience with Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Work with Kubernetes: Help maintain and develop our AKS-based container platform.
• Automate infrastructure: Use tools like Terraform and Ansible to deploy and manage resources.
• Explore security and compliance: Learn how we implement Conditional Access, compliance policies, and security by design.
• Participate in migrations: Support projects moving workloads from on-premises to Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Maintain and improve on-premise environments: Work with Hyper-V clusters in our datacenters, ensuring stability while identifying opportunities for migration to Azure.

You 

You’re eager to learn, enjoy getting hands-on with real tech, and like figuring things out yourself. You’re energised by automation, enjoy scripting, and approach challenges with curiosity and precision. 

• Are an HBO IT student. 

• Like scripting 

• Have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written  

• Have strong communication skills. 

We offer you

• An internship compensation of €500 gross per month, this is an all- in conpensation (based on a 40-hour workweek and HBO/WO level).
• Internship of 40 hours per week (fewer hours subject to consultation)
