Job Description

Seeking Electrical Engineer to join the BSE Engineering consulting team to provide engineering design services for the renovation and new construction of buildings and site infrastructure.  The successful candidate for this position will have knowledge of electrical power engineering theory, National Electrical Code, and/or electrical construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

Responsibilities to include:

  • AutoCad drafting of electrical construction documents including drawing setup, layering, xrefs, 3D modeling, circuiting, and detailing. 
  • Preparation of engineering studies, calculations, and design drawings.
  • Site investigations to determine equipment conditions and configurations.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss design considerations and progress.
  • Apply National Electrical Code requirements and knowledge to engineering designs to create innovative and cost effective solutions.
  • Preparation of design documentation and compliance with design schedules.

Required knowledge includes understanding of 3-phase power systems electrical theory and calculations.  Recommended knowledge includes National Electrical Code requirements, electrical construction, electrical distribution applications, and motor theory.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Course work in Electrical Power Engineering
  • Experience in AutoCAD software and MS Office
  • Taken the FE exam or will take within the next year
  • Interested in learning how to design electrical systems for construction
