Job Description
We are looking for a
Business Development Manager
The incumbent will be responsible for securing and exceeding sales targets as defined in the business plan objective. This will ensure the growth of the business via. high volume, high integrity pipe systems and associated engineering focused sales to be delivered from our existing digital manufacturing and production facilities, specifically Broughton UK and Constância Portugal.
The post holder will be responsible for developing the strategy (including innovation), identifying and securing new opportunities across the nuclear and power sectors primarily focused on New Build, Plant Upgrades and Modular & SMR technologies as well as new markets.
The candidate will manage the company’s relationships with current and future key accounts to maximise production capacities. They will identify key partnering opportunities to facilitate geographic manufacturing expansion.
Missions:
- Develop a strategy to grow the business via our internationally established digital manufacturing production facilities by identifying new opportunities across the nuclear and power sectors, primarily focussed on New Build, SMR and new markets.
- Identify investment needs to develop automated manufacturing production lines.
- Research, identify and generate new business opportunities and achieve financial growth aligned to BP objectives.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients.
- Act as the focal point for customer and stakeholder management issues.
- Ensure a high and frequent level of contact with clients.
- Manage the sales pipeline including upselling on existing key accounts.
- Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs.
- Develop and manage accounts on internal CRM system ensuring accurate records are kept of all meetings and conversations with customers and provide plans, reports and information regarding customer needs as required.
- Attend industry specific business forums and maximise Boccard’s branding whilst identifying new business opportunities.
- Provide management information and reports to share with others as and when required.
- Collaborate with all Boccard manufacturing entities to ensure all business objectives are realised.

Qualifications
With qualifications in Industrial Engineering and / or Manufacturing Technology support, you have business development experience with a strong network and key accounts at a top level of relationships in nuclear and power industry.
Experience:
- Detailed knowledge and experience in high efficiency technology-led manufacturing and associated engineering
- Experience of developing and managing relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of the UK and developing EU Nuclear markets
Technical requirements:
- Technical knowledge related to nuclear industry
- Excellent commercial & negotiation skills
- Management skills: ability to animate, lead and motivate a team
- Regulation and Governance knowledge – be aware of how laws and regulations may impact businesses
- Legal knowledge of contract negotiation

Additional Information
