Job Description

BMOC GROUP is currently seeking a Cognitive Research Assistant (CRA) to work remotely on client sponsored cognitive testing to explore how participants understand response scales and answer mapping response options.
POSITION TYPE:
Candidates must be able to work from May 20 2021 through September 2021. Additional work may be available beyond June 2021. The position is part-time, offering roughly 30-40 hours per week when work is available. We are interested in individuals who can work a flexible schedule. This would include weekend hours (Day/Night) and weekday hours (Day/Night). Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
The Cognitive Research Assistant (CRA) will help with recruiting participants, scheduling interviews, tracking forms, conducting cognitive interviews, with a heavy emphasis on administrative activities. CRAs ensure that field data collection activities are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner, that data collected are of the highest possible quality, and all activities are conducted in a professional manner following established procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES- -
Screen and recruit households and conduct cognitive interviews.
Work a schedule of 30 - 40 per week when work is available.
Work when participants request to be interviewed. While cognitive interviews will be completed during typical daytime hours, some participants will prefer to be interviewed during evenings or weekends.
Work with Cognitive Research Supervisor (CRS) to complete assignments on schedule
Obtain cooperation of participants by effectively answering questions and addressing any concerns.
Assume full and legal responsibility for use and care of all laptop computers and other equipment, taking reasonable and appropriate steps to safeguard against damage, loss, or theft, and returning all equipment at the conclusion of the assignment or at the request of your supervisor.
Adhere strictly to project deadlines.
Submit timely and accurate time and expense reports
Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with supervisor and other project staff, objectively sharing your thoughts while displaying an understanding of project management's concerns
Be open to receiving constructive feedback.
Keep supervisor informed of problem areas that might affect progress
Able to keep project information private

TRAINING & PAY
Supervisor will provide on the job training.

Pay for this position is: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate with 1 year of experience directly or indirectly related to experience in interviewing
Available for data collection period.
Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening, and fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
Proficient MS Word, Excel, and Team's skills
Have strong attention to detail.
Ability to read text verbatim from a laptop screen and paper documents.
Have consistent access to an in-home internet connection to access documents on O365 and complete Zoom video interviews.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by the first date of employment
Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
