The Marketing Communication Specialist supports the marketing needs of an entrepreneurial company focused on growing and expanding rapidly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist the Director of Marketing with Marketing Communications initiatives including demand generation, lead generation, product launches, event marketing, content, social media, consumer-facing media, and other marketing initiatives as needed.
Monitor and gather data related to demand generation activities to measure effectiveness.
Maintain the departmental project list and calendar, tracking internal and external resources, deadlines and project progress on SharePoint (or similar shared resource) for internal coordination.
Assist the Director of Marketing in project planning, briefing and progress meetings with Marketing, senior management and other stakeholders.
Assist the Director of Marketing in the coordination of outside resources of graphic designers, copywriters, printers, and video production as needed to complete projects.
Prepare Marketing project briefs for vendors.
Generate and coordinate content for executions in print, web, social media, blogs, and other media as needed.
Assist in the creation and ongoing development of content for advertising, sales literature, video scripts, newsletters, emails, web sites, social media, online advertising, and other marketing and communications channels.
Route approved display advertisements, email blasts, and other marketing deliverables to third party partners.
Coordinate with domestic and international channels to ensure that current messaging and deliverables are deployed in the channel as needed.
Assist in managing customer, prospect and marketing campaign data in CRM database, and interact with outside data resources.
Assist in measuring and tracking campaign ROI.
Fulfill requests from third parties such as key opinion leaders, media partners, and customers for marketing assets.
Proofread marketing materials to assure correctness.
Serve as an alternate point of contact for media relations efforts with trade and consumer channels.
Assist in direct mail programs, monitor roll-out of the campaign and check for success level at conclusion.
As needed, attend trade events, sales seminars, training events, and other marketing functions as needed. Expected travel not to exceed 10% of total. No international travel expected at this time.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively in a highly collaborative, fast-moving team environment. Must be detail-oriented, able to keep many projects moving forward to meet deadlines. Requires a high level of organization and the ability to work with information management tools
such as spreadsheets, Microsoft CRM, Hubspot, and SharePoint. Also requires ability to work with Microsoft Office suite and graphics/video software including Adobe CS suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro) and others. Requires excellent writing and editing abilities. Understands branding, integrated marketing communications, and marketing communications budgeting process and tools. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related business field, and 1 to 3 years Marketing related experience required
