Job Description

SUMMARY

The BIOLASE Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing all downstream aspects of the company’s existing dental laser product lines and related products, including demand generation programs, lead cultivation, launch preparation, launch promotion, sales support, and coordination
among all departments within the organization. This individual is expected to take an active working leadership role in supporting both internal and external customers, as well as other related internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Focus on driving awareness and lead generation creating demand for the company’s new and existing products and solutions, while working closely with the Sales team to penetrate target markets.

  • Create and lead efforts for direct advertising, direct mail, sales promotions, trade shows, and messaging for seminar activities.

  • Work closely with industry luminaries and dental organizations and publications. Provide product management support as required.

  • Lead and collaborate with related stakeholders to deliver impactful sales tools and marketing collateral

  • Develop marketing plans and strategies with Senior Management and Sales Team.

  • Support marketing needs of corporate and other departments including manufacturing and R&D.

  • Appropriately manage expenses and ensure positive ROI on Marketing initiatives

  • Provide guidance for pricing decisions across product portfolios

  • Develop and design marketing VOC projects to assess customer attitudes and acceptance criteria for messaging and promotions, including identifying and sourcing necessary resources

  • Provide guidance for corporate branding requirements and ownership of marketing assets, including working with external partners as needed

  • Provide training to sales team for new product introductions

  • Continuously monitor and analyze business and competitive environment

  • Provide forecasts and monitor costs with operations and finance

  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders to promote products in the field and to continuously improve product performance

  • Support Sales team at trade shows, product demonstrations, seminars and other events

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has 3-5 manager and associate level direct reports.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 7-10 years of experience in medical device field, principally in downstream marketing or product management. Demonstrable track record with successful marketing programs and product launches.

Desired experience with direct to patient, digital/video content creation, social media. Dental background is a plus. Capital equipment and office based clinician and patient experience is essential.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing or Engineering, is required.
Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
