Our HR Business Partner will play an important role in ensuring that our employees and business teams can perform to their full potential by shaping the employee experience and delivering best in class support to our organization.

In this position you will work in conjunction with the Sr. HR Business Partner to serve your business teams by supporting and developing, implementing, and executing dynamic HR programs. You will be a trusted partner who will coach team members in the areas of career development, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, learning and development, compliance, and talent acquisition. We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist who can be an advisor and resource to their business teams, influence-without-authority, and identify creative HR solutions to support our business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver effective processes, solutions, and support on both the team-wide and individual level for assigned business teams.
  • Partner with the Sr. HRBP to provide expertise and one-on-one employee support in the following areas: performance management, employee relations, coaching, learning and development, compliance, and talent acquisition.
  • Implement, maintain the integrity of, and communicate changes to HR policies and practices through continuous interaction with employees and teams.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to first level supervisors and partner with them to ensure employees are receiving coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate with onsite temporary agency leadership team to drive process improvement and continued business relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in the areas of Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits, and Payroll to carry out BIC-wide people strategies and programs.
  • Initiate and manage new hire and onboarding process.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Work with business teams to effectively launch and support bi-annual performance review cycles and talent calibrations.
  • Lead and participate in projects at the HR-wide and business team level.
  • Manage/support local FMLA, STD, FLSA and other HR issues as appropriate.
  • Provide visible HR support for Charlotte, building and maintaining strong relationships with local management and staff.
  • Manage Workers Compensation and Benefits for all Charlotte employees.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in a production environment preferably in a generalist or business partner capacity, directly supporting hourly employees and their supervisors.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
  • Experience and exposure to a variety of HR facets including organizational design, leadership coaching, talent management and development, performance management, and learning and development.
  • Intermediate excel skills and experience in people analytics and HCM system navigation
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and often-changing environment
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize quickly
  • Strong knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong team player with high bias to action and accountability
  • Is a self-starter and willing to roll up their sleeves; takes initiative, is proactive and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Capable of appropriately handling highly confidential documents and information
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills including time management
  • Ability to lead without direct authority
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
