Job Description

The Amazon Team Lead manages a team focused on building long-term, sustainable business plans while delivering short-term volume and profit goals with Amazon, one of our largest customers. This person must maintain strong customer partnerships and relationships and have a deep understanding of Amazon and E-Commerce. The person must bring and implement ideas and initiatives for growth relevant to the evolving E-Commerce landscape. Furthermore, the person must lead annual business planning cycles both internally and externally and guide the Amazon team to deliver both BIC and Amazon targets.  


  • Meets or exceeds assigned annual sales objectives  

  • Achieves distribution, pricing, promotion, merchandising, and marketing objectives for our Amazon first party business  

  • Manages funding to meet or exceed sales forecast achievement, while staying within budget and policy guidelines  

  • Provides guidance for forecasting process to give visibility to macro-, channel-, and customer-level trends  

  • Implements sustainable short- and long-term strategies for delivering business goals and maximize growth with customer. 

  • Leverages data to inform business decisions and proposals for investment  

  • Develops long term relationships with customer’s key personnel. 

  • Ensures team manages trade and advertising spend within budget and maximizes return on investment  

  • Communicates information and customer needs across the BIC organization. Leads, organizes and facilitates both internal and external teams to meet customer’s needs. 

  • Develops customer business plans that take into account long-term goals, strategies and results. 

  • Identifies and determines profit and volume implications of various alternatives for both BIC and our customer. 

  • Develops internal presentations as well as external business reviews and T2T materials drawing from internal and external resources. 

  • Negotiates business plans at customer business planning sessions that achieve business unit’s short and long-term volume and profit goals while conforming to BIC policies. These plans should ensure customer performance at or above standards in all key merchandising areas: Distribution, Pricing, Marketing, Merchandising, and Promotion. 

  • Manages expenses within company policy guidelines 

Develops expertise of:  

  • Customer business environment and E-Commerce-specific needs 

  • Respective category and market 

  • Competitive strategy 

  • BIC internal operating policy and procedures 


  • 8-10 years of relevant selling or E-Commerce experience of increasing levels of sales and supervisory responsibility in the consumer products industry, plus a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field of study. 

  • 4-6 years of experience working directly with or at Amazon, strong understanding of performance data relevant to Amazon sell-through and marketing on Amazon. 

  • A high in-depth knowledge of consumer products industry as well as knowledge and experience of relevant internal functions (i.e., Sales Resources, Business Planning, Marketing and Customer Service). 

  • This position requires a winning positive attitude from a competent and competitive individual who can work and lead in a matrix organization.  

  • The position requires you to have the ability to manage a challenging and demanding workload.
