Job Description

The Supply Chain Logistics Analyst - Import Exports is responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and in compliance with relevant local, country, and international law. Responsibilities include the ability to work independently on assigned projects including metrics, utilization of outside resources, process improvements, and resolving exceptions. Key competencies for this position require root cause analysis, adhering standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance objectives are maintained.

•    Manage assigned accounts (import and export lanes), by creating, processing, or resolving required documents and/or queries, and issues
•    Manage air freight requests. Monitor and report trends, spend by category in preparation for OTIF data
•    Work with freight forwarders to resolve irregular activity, monitoring exceptions for meet estimated delivery dates to ensure supply chain inventory is on time and in full
•    Act as key contact on freight contingency plans, updates, new action items; communicating new developments to manager
•    Report and monitor metrics based on utilization of imported containers and sourced country, utilization of tariff classifications, and duties paid in preparation for monthly meeting reviews
•    Participate in testing new system enhancements and software upgrades
•    Act as primary resource for planning group on freight transit time set ups 
•    Create standard operating procedures for new processes/system features/tasks/resource tools, etc.
•      Identify and implement continuous process improvements initiatives to streamline existing assignments
•    Work with selected suppliers to collect C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) security profiles to support annual reviews 
•     Collaborate with Manager on miscellaneous ad hoc reports and projects
•    Process international claims related to damages or loss on ocean and air shipments. 
•    Manage and process EDI kick outs by reviewing data outside normal tolerance settings to minimize errors related to the filing of entered goods, etc.
•    Utilize the ACE portal to run various activity reports, such as late ISF (Importer Security Filings), container data, volume, etc.
•    Partner with Procurement to coordinate new lane set ups to properly align manufacturer with local agent for the movement of product to specified warehouse destinations
•    Provide support to assist in managing new product launches by establishing assigned forwarders, proper Incoterms, required documentation and proper use of tariff classification
•    Process TAP invoices to approve freight invoices, and alert manager to unusual fees 
•    Reconcile freight forwarders Statement of Accounts to research and resolve gaps for payment processing


  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience doing analysis in supply chain/logistics role is required
  • Import/Export Logistics experience is preferred (but will train on it)
  • Seeking an action oriented, results driven candidate
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues & implement corrective action with timely follow up
  • Capability of accomplishing day to day tasks utilizing various enterprise software systems
  • Competencies in Microsoft Word and Excel
