Job Description

The purpose of this position is to lead global eCommerce and digital capability building across people, process, and technology capabilities – to deliver BIC’s ambition for accelerated eCommerce growth, consumer centricity, and digital relevancy.  The core job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead seamless, integrated, and optimized digital consumer experiences that drive conversion, brand loyalty, and digital relevancy in the eyes of consumers
  • Lead across regions and functions on best practices in digital marketing, with focus areas such as SEM/SEO, social, digital shelf, retail media, creative, owned assets, and digital KPI performance measurement/optimization
  • Deliver quarterly global media and creative performance summary
  • Deploy strategies and manage forums that raise organizational eCommerce and digital acumen and up-skilling through community building, best practice sharing, masterclasses, formal training, etc; while driving outcomes focused improvement/acceleration in digital KPIs globally
  • Lead and manage digital test-and-learns with new technologies, strategies, channels, innovation, and vendor partnerships that enable BIC’s ambition to accelerate growth in eCommerce, meanwhile enabling a digital first culture globally
  • Build fundamental knowledge/skills and organizational processes across core functions needed to enable eCommerce operations within Global Innovation, Marketing, Sales, IT, Supply Chain, Finance and HR
  • Be a connector and eCommerce/digital subject matter expert across functions representing the voice of all things digital, while having an external eye of evolving capabilities to bring internally – to deliver a seamless digital consumer experience and conversion online

Qualifications

  • Preferred 7-10+ years of eCommerce/digital marketing/consulting experience
  • Extensive business knowledge and understanding of consumers goods
  • Exceptional business development and strategic leadership capabilities to influence and build new for a global organization
  • Exceptional financial and digital/eCommerce KPI acumen
  • Direct experience with digital/eCommerce tech stacks
  • Proven experience in scaling digital/eCommerce test-and-learns
  • Strong analytical skills and experience turning insights into actions
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Strong project management skills to manage projects in a very time constrained environment with different departments and ability to see through to conclusion
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and active listening skills – demonstration of consultative approaches
  • Positive attitude, resilience to adversity, demonstrated conflict-management skills
  • Ideally internationally and locally experienced with eCommerce and/or digital marketing
  • Fluent in English (another language is a plus)
