Job Description

Responsible for leading the Marketing and Sales Controlling team, supporting the senior Category and Trade Marketing managers to analyze the business performance and elaborate the budget/forecast. Support the leadership team in the decision-making process on resource allocation by providing ROI analyses on Brand Investments and Business Cases evaluations, monitoring post launching performance. Identify opportunities to improve analysis, reports, KPIs and other support tools to simplify and preserve quality and accuracy on the financial processes.   

 

  1. Interact with senior category managers and trade managers to analyze and explain actual vs budget/forecast (One Page Report, PVM analysis, etc)

  2. Monitor the Sales Performance (weekly Sales) by Category

  3. Preparation of Budget e Forecasts by SKU to Volume and Price, and by category to investments

  4. Long term plan as PIC, LTS, F4G, F22

  5. Governance of Trade Investments (Contracts, Allowances/BDFs, anticipation discounts, POP, promoters, and process owner for BDF (including BDF system) providing visibility on how the investments are being executed.

  6. Finance Support to evaluate Business Cases and monitor the post launching performance

  7. Develop and Implement tools to support GP analysis and Return on Investments (ROI) to be used by Marketing and Sales team

  8. Top 20 Clients Report by channel/client and report with explanation of sell in

  9. Implementation and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) by Region/Channel and Client, focus on contribution margin and ROI on each client

  10. Identify and conduct opportunities to improve analysis, reports, key performance indicators and other support tools related to Opex and Investments of Marketing & Sales

  11. Lead and develop Mkt and Sales Controlling team (1 financial analyst and 1 intern)

  12. Support Marketing & Sales with discount analysis and price positioning for promo packs, PDQs, SLOBs and actions to reduce inventory

  13. Financial responsible for S&OP forums on the Volume projections based on market assumptions

  14. Guarantee adequacy on consumption modeling projections

  15. Anticipate and communicate risks and opportunities 

  16. Act as a Trainer for the Financial for no Financial program

Qualifications

  • Graduation in Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related fields

  • English – Advanced

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in Finance and previous experience managing team 

  • Technical skills:

    • Consumer good companies and manufacturing

    • P&L (channel/clients/region/products)

    • Pricing and commercial politics

    • Top line and brand investment budget / forecast process

    • Price, volume and mix analyses over category and channels

    • Performance KPIs

    • Advertising, Brand Support and other marketing investments

    • Return on investment (Commercial investments, Marketing investments and product launches / promopacks)

    • Strategic / Long term planning

    • Allowances policies and procedures

  • Behavioral skills:

    • Analytical skills and ability to provide executive reports and insights

    • Leadership skills

    • Relationship, influence and executive communication skills

    • Ability to develop and influence multifunctionally the company on business recommendations
