We believe that the way we reach our customers is as important as the product we choose to sell, and following this mission, the refered position will be responsible for the strategy, planning, implementation and execution of the Supply and Delivery activities in Middle East and Africa to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Working in close collaboration with the MEA General Manager, and with the local area Managers, the MEA Supply & Deliver Head will be responsible for driving the supply chain operations in order to respond to the business needs, ensuring high customer service while optimizing inventory holdings. The position will also provide strategic cross-functional collaboration with the different MEA departments to ensure team alignment, as well as with the manufacturing Categories and central HQ teams, to ensure product supply.
Strategy and Design
Design the regional Supply Chain strategy in terms of agility, efficiency, speed to market and costs.
Design and Decide on the supply network: from where to source, what inventory to hold, where to hold it, and what systems to use.
Ensure the development and implementation of suitable systems, processes and policies to guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain operations.
Define local Inventory policies, with focus on improving cash position by efficiently managing the inventory.
Lead key contract/pricing/tendering negotiations within the supply chain scope.
Implement best practices across the supply & delivery functions including supply planning, planning execution, order management, order fulfilment, logistics and inventory management.
Oversee Logistic costs along the region, including freight and warehousing. Identify, propose and lead cost-reduction projects.
Oversee Inventory holdings along the region. Participate on long and medium-term inventory planning.
Active contributor and Supply point of contact for cross functional and cross continental projects.
Develop, implement, set and meet targets for key performance indicators.
Define and maintain team structure, roles and responsibilities. Analyze long term capacity of Supply Teams and plan accordingly.
Responsible for engagement, development and growth of the Supply & Deliver team.
Previous / Professional Experience
University degree completed in relevant field.
5-7 years Supply Chain experience within a FMCG manufacturing or related environment is essential and experience within the stationary business is advantageous.
