Job Description

The Middle Office Specialist will focus on providing operational support for middle-office trade activities, with a strong emphasis on analytics and trade support. This role is essential for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in trading operations, developing strong relationships with key external partners, and enhancing internal processes to support trading activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate setup and maintenance of relationships with 3rd paries, ensuring that all documentation, compliance, and operational requirements are fully met.
  • Perform and oversee daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and promptly resolve discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth trading activities.
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of procedures and controls to boost operational efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure high standards of compliance.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new systems and processes that support trading operations and accommodate scalability needs.
  • Collaborate with compliance, risk, and legal teams to ensure all trading activities align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports tasks statuses, operational challenges, and resolutions.
  • Prepare presentations and compile supporting documents, ensuring clear communication across departments and with external partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a middle office, account management, trade support, or operational role within a financial service provider or trading firm.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading operations, and familiarity with the regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in communicating with international clearers, custodians, brokers and vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with external partners and internal teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
