Job Description

  • To work with the wider Quality Team, update QA Manager for the project and support the projects team with QC activities.
  • Work with our Lead Quality Engineer.
  • T2 site is too large for one quality engineer to deal with.
  • There are more than 10,000 assets that will require quality inspections (install, labelling etc.) level 6 report reviews a number will require client inspection sign off, led by BG quality
  • Numerous areas under commissioning at the same time will require support from quality
  • Collation and submission of quality reports to client.
  • Direct support to the Quality Manager in absence of Lead Quality Engineer for all QC activities.
  • Continual development of the BUK installation standards
  • Generate / progress Non-Conformity Reports (NCR)
  • Monitor the installation against the BUK installation standards for compliance
  • Performing internal and external audit
  • Visit suppliers to witness FATs /progress investigations
  • Manage the BUK level 6 Inspections process including updates to RQM for mechanical, electrical and steelwork
  • Act as the liaison between the Client / Site team / Suppliers
  • Manage the Defect Registers to close out
  • Working with LEAN and Quality Walks 5S+1

Qualifications

  • Electrical background preferably in a Baggage Handling environment
  • HNC min in Electrical/Electronics field or Quality
  • Min. 2 years' experience in quality assessments
  •  Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 or 2015
  • CSCS
  • SSSTS / SMSTS (an advantage but not a requirement)
  •  Proficient MS Office user
  • SharePoint
  • RQM
