Job Description

Do you want to design cutting-edge automation solutions for global leaders like Amazon, DHL, and PostNord? Join us as an Automation Engineer and play a key role in developing our new and innovative   cage filling product – a robotic solution that ensures safe and efficient parcel handling in modern logistics centres.

You will join our Logistic Systems Product Engineering team, who designs complex sortation systems across the globe. You will be a member of a team dedicated to one of our new products: cage filling. Here, you will collaborate closely with specialists within different engineering disciplines e.g. steel, electronics, software or site integration to create a product solution for our customers.

The innovative cage filling solution focuses on filling a group of postal cages with parcels within a robot cell. The goal is to create a stable pile of items within each cage. Items must be handled gently, and overall machine and person safety is a must.

The job
You will develop and maintain the product code, supporting new development and future enhancements, and ensuring high performance of the cage filling product. Your tasks include:

  • Developing function-based cod ensuring   the best solutions.
  • Commissioning your PLC code in an emulator, as well as testing it at our test centre.  
  • Support our Customer Support team when needed on running systems.
  • Reviewing layouts and solutions early in the process to ensure that we use our standard product offerings.
  • Participating in the documentation of our solutions.

Your profile
We imagine that you are curious, structured, and enjoy solving technical challenges together with others. Ideally, you bring the following competencies to the job:

  • Experience with Siemens TIA portal , SCL   and LAD for safety programming.
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming in industrial environments.
  • Understanding of hardware integration, I/O nodes, drives,   Profinet, Ethernet communication and failsafe programming.
