Legal Counsel
As Legal Counsel you will be a key team member supporting large international projects by de-risking contracts and challenges by providing business-oriented legal solutions to complex and novel problems. You will support the projects through the entire project lifecycle from bidding to warranty and service. More specifically your key role will be to:

  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements for our complex projects with customers and suppliers around the world, involving external law firms where needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks as a member of a cross functional project team.
  • Support of the relevant business functions and various local group companies during the project implementation in all legal matters.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies, manage arbitration / litigation proceedings including insurance matters
  • Provide general legal support: Advise on data privacy, IT and IP related topics and on all kind of commercial and corporate issues which may arise from time to time.
  • Drafting and revising standard forms of contract and other templates as well as conducting legal in-house training.
  • You will be a key member of the global legal department of the BEUMER group and in close cooperation you will also have global responsibilities.

Solid legal background and a great team-player
Your ability to understand, evaluate and mitigate contractual risks makes you a valuable and trusted team member, who gets consulted before important decisions are made. You have a great sense of knowing when to be firm, and when to be pragmatic for achieving the best interests of BEUMER.

We also imagine that you:

  • Are a qualified attorney with a minimum of 10 years of experience inhouse in a large international corporate organization or a law firm.
  • Have experience with supply contracts / turnkey contracts in an international surrounding, preferably in the mechanical / plant engineering industry, construction industry or similar industries
  • Are familiar with international standard forms of contract such as FIDIC.
  • Ideally have good knowledge of IP law and experience with software license contracts.
  • Are a team player with excellent communication skills enabling you to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Are business/customer oriented with strong negotiation and pragmatic problem-solving skills with a clear sense of prioritizing what matters.
  • Excellent Danish and English oral and drafting skills, good command of another language would be an advantage.
  • Live in driving distance from Aarhus and is willing to travel domestically and international from time to time.
