Take the lead
You join BEUMER Group A/S to lead the delivery of automated baggage handling systems. We have the leading product on the market, and our mission critical systems are installed across international airports as a completely essential part of daily operations 24/7. In this position, you assume full commercial and contractual responsibility for our major projects – often above €50m, and you collaborate closely with a technical project manager, who is responsible for system requirements, specifications and design.
Apply your commercial acumen and international experience
As a project director, you use your technical and commercial acumen as you assume full responsibility for the projects – from contract negotiation to implementation and final handover. You organise, manage and allocate resources, and you communicate with our customers. All the while, you take managerial responsibility for specific project teams, just as you support our sales team on upcoming projects.
Thus, in this key role, you make project time plans, make risk assessments and oversee project budgets. You represent the company and handle internal stakeholders and negotiations with both internal and external suppliers as well as customers. By doing so, you ensure successful project deliverables, so the systems we deliver are fully functional.
All in all, you ensure great coordination between key project elements, and by focusing on the first project stages in particular, you strengthen the basis for a solid and well-thought-out project roll-out.
Cross-cultural understanding and substantial international project experience
To meet and act on diverse challenges across cultures and continents, you know how to use your entrepreneurial spirit to come up with solutions. That is why we need you to:
- Have profound experience with leading international projects, assuming budget responsibility, making and implementing time schedules as well as handling diverse stakeholders
- Be a strong communicator who can manage a project organisation by leading and motivating teams, conduct presentations and run meetings efficiently
- Have a profound commercial and contractual understanding combined with a technical shrewdness
- Communicate effortlessly in English
So, what we need is a proactive leader who can manage large and increasingly complex projects. Someone who is motivated by our international environment and can act when issues occur – travelling up to 100 days a year to major airports all over the world and possible expatriation in a five years perspective.
