Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an Associate Database Administrator with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration. Exposure to Oracle database environments is highly preferred, and candidates with experience supporting both SQL Server and Oracle databases will be given preference.
The role is responsible for database design, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and operational support. The ideal candidate should be able to manage database infrastructure independently while ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support SQL Server database environments across production and non-production systems.
- Manage database user access in accordance with organizational security standards and policies.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Conduct database performance tuning, index optimization, and query analysis.
- Implement data masking and encryption controls to protect sensitive and PII data.
- Troubleshoot database incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with database vendors and third-party partners to resolve complex database issues.
- Design and document database installation processes and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance activities as required.
Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.
- Experience supporting SQL Server 2016 or higher in Windows environments.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and database performance optimization skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
