Job Description
About the Role
You will lead the design, architecture, implementation, and support of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for building highly available, scalable, and secure networking environments across on premises and cloud platforms. You will provide architectural guidance, drive network modernization initiatives, and mentor network engineers while ensuring operational excellence and security best practices.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement enterprise network solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives. Design, deploy, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing technologies. Administer and optimize Cisco and Aruba switching environments, wireless access points, VPN infrastructure, FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, and network monitoring solutions. Design and support enterprise wireless networks using HPE Aruba and Ubiquiti UniFi access points, controllers, and cloud management platforms. Implement network security controls and best practices across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments. Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship and technical guidance to network engineers. Drive network automation initiatives using scripting languages such as Python and Bash for configuration management, monitoring, and operational efficiency. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting activities for critical network outages and performance issues. Develop, maintain, and enforce network architecture standards, engineering best practices, and secure interconnection guidelines. Own and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, change management records, and architecture standards. Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to deliver reliable and high performing network services. Support and enhance 24x7 network monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
Looking For
5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking infrastructure design, implementation, and support. Strong expertise in network architecture, routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security. Experience managing enterprise-grade networking environments with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, and cloud networking technologies. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, solve complex networking challenges, and work independently. CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory.
Mandatory Skills
A. Technical Skills Expert-level understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts including VLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP, EtherChannel, and VRF. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switching technologies, including configuration, troubleshooting, and high-availability deployments. Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switching platforms, including ArubaOS, CLI configuration, VSF/stacking, and VLAN management. Extensive experience with FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, including VPNs, IPS, SD-WAN, HA, and security policy management. Strong understanding of network security principles, segmentation, access control, and secure network design. Experience implementing highly available and resilient network architectures. Knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF), IDS/IPS technologies, and DDoS mitigation strategies. Expertise with network troubleshooting and analysis tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, and Nmap. Strong packet analysis, troubleshooting, and log analysis capabilities. Familiarity with Windows Server networking services including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS. Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba wireless solutions, including Aruba Controllers, Aruba Central, AP deployment, and RF optimization. Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Ubiquiti UniFi Controllers and Access Points. Knowledge of Azure and AWS networking concepts, including VNet, VPC, peering, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Security Groups. Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
