Job Description
NOC Team Lead (L2)
Role Description: Lead NOC operations and personnel to ensure reliable 24x7 monitoring and incident remediation. Drive improvements in monitoring, incident handling, escalation processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NOC operations and teams across shifts; manage escalations and act as technical escalation point for critical incidents.
- Optimize monitoring systems and implement automation to reduce alert noise.
- Coordinate major incident response, stakeholder communications and post-incident reviews.
- Oversee onboarding, training, and mentoring of NOC staff; develop runbooks and SOPs.
- Produce daily/weekly status reports and trend analysis for leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and vendors to resolve recurring infrastructure issues.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years’ experience in NOC or network operations with leadership or escalation experience.
- Understanding of hybrid environments (on‑premises and cloud).
- Experience with monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Pingdom, Status Page).
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes and incident lifecycle management.
- Understanding of hybrid environments (on‑premises and cloud).
- Working knowledge of CMDB and service/dependency mapping.
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and service health monitoring.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and leadership skills.
