Job Description
To strengthen our financial organization, we are looking for an experienced and operational Finance Manager, capable of acting as a true partner to management and supporting the company’s growth, professionalization, and performance.
The Finance Manager combines a strategic vision with strong operational involvement and plays a key role in financial reporting, management control, financial analysis, and team management. He/she ensures the reliability of financial information, safeguards the financial health of the organization, and actively contributes to decision-making processes.

Purpose of the Position
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing, organizing, and optimizing all of the company’s financial activities. He/she combines solid expertise in financial analysis and management control with a strongly hands-on mentality and ensures reliable financial reporting, relevant management information, and an efficient closing process.
As a true management partner, the Finance Manager supports the organization through financial analyses, risk assessments, and recommendations that contribute to sustainable financial performance.
Responsibilities
Financial Closing and Reporting
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Guarantee the complete, accurate, and timely processing of financial data.
- Prepare and consolidate financial reports for management and shareholders.
- Analyze results against budget, forecasts, and previous periods.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal procedures, and legal obligations.
- Coordinate audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
Financial Controlling
- Establish and maintain a solid financial control framework.
- Identify financial risks and propose corrective actions.
- Perform in-depth analyses of revenue, margins, cost structures, cash flows, and working capital.
- Monitor the financial performance of projects, departments, and business units.
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
- Identify variances and proactively formulate recommendations to improve results.
Financial Analysis and Business Partnering
- Translate financial data into relevant information for decision-making.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses, business cases, and investment analyses.
- Support strategic decisions through in-depth financial analyses.
- Advise management and operational managers on profitability, efficiency, and risk management.
- Analyze trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) and formulate recommendations for improvement.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise the accounting team.
- Support, coach, and develop team members.
- Ensure efficient work allocation, quality deliverables, and respect of deadlines.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Develop a high-performing and customer-oriented finance organization.
Processes and Optimization
- Continuously improve financial processes and reporting tools.
- Digitalize and automate financial processes where relevant.
- Optimize internal controls and financial procedures.
- Strengthen the efficiency and quality of financial information made available to management.
Cash & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flows and liquidity forecasts.
- Control working capital, receivables, and payment flows.
- Support financing and treasury-related matters.
- Ensure the maintenance of a healthy financial position for the company.
Qualifications
Your profile
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences, Applied Economic Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance, financial controlling, or audit.
- Previous management experience is considered a significant asset.
- Experience in a project-oriented, industrial, or construction environment is an advantage.
Skills and Expectations
- Excellent command of Dutch, both spoken and written, and good ability to communicate in French, or vice versa.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Excellent analytical skills and great attention to detail.
- Pragmatic and operational mindset with the willingness to be directly involved in day-to-day activities when necessary.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to turn figures into concrete actions.
