Job Description
You are a student in International Trade, Purchasing or Supply Chain looking for an internship in Belgium? We have great news for you! BESIX is continuously looking for motivated interns for its Procurement & Purchasing Department.
We offer opportunities in Purchasing or Category Management.
Example of tasks:
- Support for the implementation of strategies for product categories at global or European level;
- Transactional activities such as price inquiries aiming to the establishment of global or European frame agreements or large contracts dedicated to specific construction projects.
- Follow up of the RFQ, the alignment of the bids coming from international suppliers as well as the preparation and presentation of comparison tables and recommendation can also be included;
- Daily purchases of materials or spare parts for our national or international sites;
- Providing technical assistance relating to materials and maintaining databases with suppliers;
- Participation in the organization of air and sea transport for our overseas projects (Africa, Middle East) as well as logistics and customs monitoring.

Qualifications
- You are pursuing a master's degree in International Trade, Purchasing, Supply Chain or equivalent;
- You want to do an internship at our head office (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert);
- Your internship period must be at least 6 weeks full-time. Please mention your internship period in your application;
- You speak French/Dutch and you have a good knowledge of English;
- You have an analytical mind, autonomy and rigor;
- You are communicative, proactive and you are not afraid of being in direct intervention and cooperation with multiple stakeholders;
- You are a talented negotiator;
- You are flexible and you bounce back easily when faced with problems and challenges.
