Why This Role Matters
As a General Maintenance & Facilities Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized environment across the site. Your contribution helps ensure efficient daily operations, supports the upkeep of facilities and infrastructure, and promotes a positive and safe workplace for employees, visitors, and contractors. Through your commitment to housekeeping, landscaping, maintenance support, and safety compliance, you will help uphold operational excellence across the facility.
What You'll Drive
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping activities across designated areas.
- Carry out road sweeping and cleaning of internal and external roads.
- Support landscaping activities, including watering, trimming, pruning, weeding, and irrigation system monitoring.
- Assist with pest control activities and report any signs of infestation.
- Clean conveyors, transfer stations, IBA areas, and other process-related facilities.
- Ensure proper collection, segregation, and disposal of waste in line with site procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections and report defects, damages, and abnormal conditions.
- Assist with basic MEP maintenance activities as directed by the Supervisor.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Complete assigned tasks according to work schedules and required timelines.
- Maintain accurate records, checklists, and activity logs.
- Follow all HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and site safety regulations.
- Participate in toolbox talks, training sessions, and emergency drills.
- Support emergency response and site recovery activities when required.
Qualifications
You'll Be a Great Fit If You Have
- High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification.
- Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices and the ability to work safely in an operational environment.
- Experience performing general housekeeping, cleaning, landscaping, and facility support activities.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete tasks efficiently within assigned timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized work areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to reporting defects, hazards, and maintenance requirements.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
