Job Description
BESIX Watpac is seeking an IT Deployment Technician for the end-to-end preparation, imaging, configuration, deployment and decommissioning of computing devices and peripherals across BESIX Watpac corporate offices and project sites.
This role will be responsible for:
- Prepare end-user devices for new starters, hardware refreshes, and project mobilisations, ensuring readiness prior to scheduled deployment dates.
- Assist with lifecycle management activities including device recalls, redeployment, surplus assessment, reimaging for resale and secure data destruction.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on all deployed devices prior to handover, including connectivity, software, and security compliance validation.
- Provide on-site and remote support during the deployment phase, assisting end users with initial setup, account configuration, and data migration.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of deployment runbooks, build documentation, and SOE procedures.
Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require:
- Experience in an IT Support, deployment, or end-user computing role.
- Hands-on experience imaging and deploying Windows 11 devices using Autopilot or similar tooling.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune / Endpoint Manager for device enrolment and management.
- Demonstrated ability to configure hardware peripherals including monitors, docking stations, printers, and mobile devices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Excellent communicator (telephone, face to face, and written) who is also a team player that is able to articulate business needs in technical terms.
