Job Description
For our ongoing project in Navegantes (Brazil) we are currently looking for a Diaphragm Wall Operator for a temporary mission of 3 months.
- Operate a heavy-duty crane equipped with a mechanical grab for deep foundation activities, specifically for the construction of diaphragm walls (Liebherr 8130, Liebherr 875, Stein Grab)
- Execute excavation of panels according to project specifications, ensuring accuracy in depth, alignment, and verticality.
- Coordinate with the site supervisor, surveyors, and supporting teams to ensure correct positioning and sequencing of excavation works.
- Monitor the condition and performance of the mechanical crane, and related equipment; report and assist in resolving technical issues.
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance to guarantee safety and operational reliability.
- Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and project-specific working methods.
- Maintain precise logs of daily operations, encountered issues, and progress reports as required by the site management.
- Support the safe movement and lifting of materials within the construction area.
Qualifications
- Experience: Senior-level professional with extensive experience in diaphragm wall construction and operation of cranes with mechanical grabs.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven expertise in operating mechanical equipment for deep foundation works.
- Strong understanding of diaphragm wall construction techniques and associated geotechnical challenges.
- Ability to interpret technical plans and excavation tolerances.
- Language: Fluent in English. Portuguese is a plus.
- Availability: Must be immediately available for a 3‑month assignment in Brazil.
- Safety Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Personal Qualities:
- Reliable, autonomous, and disciplined in equipment operation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with site teams.
- Problem-solving mindset and capacity to react calmly to unexpected technical issues.
- Additional Requirements: Prior international experience or experience working in large-scale construction projects is an asset.
