Electricians are responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various electrical systems within the plant environment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The following are his key responsibilities.

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install and maintain a wide range of electrical systems within the plant, including wiring, lighting, switches, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and systems to identify issues or potential problems.
• Routine Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts on electrical equipment, including motors, pumps, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions or failures by testing circuits, analyzing electrical diagrams, and using diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues accurately.
  • Take appropriate measures to resolve electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Safety and Hazard Prevention:
  • Implement measures to prevent electrical hazards by ensuring proper grounding, insulation, and protection against water and corrosion.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

• Certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial or plant setting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools used in installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to performing thorough inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks requiring manual labor and work in varying conditions.
