Job Description

With a strong legacy of successful hospital projects across Queensland, BESIX Watpac are proud to be delivering the Townsville University Hospital Expansion project.  We seek a Services Engineer / Coordinator to join the team on a permanent basis.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Participate in the design, coordination, installation and commissioning of building services on the project.
  • Work closely with the Design and Services Manager ensuring documentation meets the required specification cost budgets and programme for construction works.
  • Review all documentation for adequacy of design input.
  • Progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and as built documents.
  • Monitor progress and quality of the works on site.
  • Participate in the final handover of the building; in particular manage the commissioning and submission of final documentation, as built documents, authority approvals, warranties, training and guarantees

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated industry experience and exposure to large building projects.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a project team.
