Job Description
- Responsible for the entire process of imports/exports/Re-exports of shipments and distribution to various locations.
- Negotiate, finalize, operate and document Sea/Air/Land/Multi-model freight for all regular and project cargoes (ODC/B-Bulk) for all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with freight agents, project sites and other departments for all import / export shipments.
- Float RFQs, prepare bid analysis and finalize the service provider in coordination with the Head of department for all kind of shipments.
- Prepare and administer all types of shipping documents. Knowledge in preparation of Letters of credit is an advantage.
- Coordinate externally with Port & Customs and Shipping Agents to ensure timely receipt of materials and deliveries as per the set standard.
- Control of equipment movement with GCC by road with Makasa, Temporary import, Duty exemption as applicable.
- Provide timely information to management/suppliers on cargo receipts, cargo conditions and excess/shortage details.
- Comply with the formalities of Port & Customs, Chamber of Commerce, Foreign affairs, RTA, Municipality, etc.
- Assist all expatriates for the movement of their personal effects in coordination with HR department.
- Familiar with Inco Terms, Port and Customs Tariff, Makasa & GCC customs procedures.
- Scrutinize and recommend approval of the payments to freight / clearing agents, customs tariff, border charges etc.
- Ensure complete adherence of self and team to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably with logistics experience.
- Min 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English – Functional knowledge in Arabic.
- Willing to be assigned in Saudi Arabia
