Job Description

BESIX Watpac have delivered a strong portfolio in the health sector over our 40-year history, and due to recent successful hospital project awards, we seek a Contracts Manager to join our team.  This role will be based in Brisbane, with regular travel required.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Management and performance of the project contract administration function.
  • Overseeing procurement and subcontractor negotiations, contract conditions and budget conformance.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supervision of Contracts Administrators, Cadets and Administration staff.
  • Monthly project cost reporting.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Construction Management / Quantity Surveying or relevant experience.
  • Successful experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Administrator on large building projects.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
