Job Description
The primary role of the workforce development coordinator is to drive training, community engagement and upskilling of the BESIX Watpac workforce and the local communities. Based on our St George Hospital project in Kogarah you will play an integral part in upskilling our workforce. The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Maintain, implement and report the projects training requirements including Indigenous, apprentices/Trainees and other KPI requirements
- Consultation with key stakeholders to support training initiatives across the project
- Implement training needs to support nationally accredited outcomes
- Coordinate induction process with Safety team
- Managing Sydney Metro training outcomes including compliance with NSW Government and Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program.
- Manage pre-employment programs including mentoring support, job placements and interviews.
Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

- The Workforce Coordinator will:
- Understanding of the NSW Government training policies including infrastructure Skills Legacy Program
- Excel and other Microsoft products skills
- Training administration gained in a medium to large organisation - ideally in the construction or civil environment.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and/or business stakeholders to lead the development of practical and engaging training programs.
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.
- Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded in a training and development or related field.
