Job Description

At BESIX we are currently looking for a new and motivated Cost Controller. You will join a very dynamic team of cost controllers. Although all of them are responsible for the cost controlling of different construction sites, there is a lot of collegiality within the cost controllers. Regular team meetings are organized to share the best practices of the projects all over Belgium and Luxembourg. And of course, the necessary trainings will be given so that you’ll have all the tips and tricks of finance in the fascinating BESIX construction world from the start.

  • You will be Cost controller for different BESIX projects mainly located in Flanders and Brussels (with a current focus on Flanders)(40% at BESIX HQ and 60% on site) or completely dedicated to 1 bigger project and based on site;
  • You will be responsible for monthly cost control reporting, analyses and administrative process simplification;
  • You review, under responsibility of project managers, projects’ cost control;
  • You are responsible for reporting checked and coherent figures and can work independently;
  • You liaise with projects’ “technical responsible” to obtain all needed input for projects cost control and reporting;
  • You ensure that all needed accounting data are transferred to the Project Managers;
  • You report results and analysis to Cost Control manager on due time;

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in an economical or financial field;
  • A first work experience in the field of cost control or financial audit is a must;
  • You demonstrate willingness and ability to learn quickly and to work independently ;
  • You are fluent in Dutch (oral and written) and you have a sufficient level to communicate in French and English ;
  • You have clear skills for analyses and reporting ;
  • You are a team player and you have good communication skills;
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office;
  • You are willing to work all over Flanders and Brussels. Note that we take as much as possible into account where you live and which projects we give you;
  • You have a sincere interest for the construction industry
