Your role as a Senior Project Manager is required to provide the boundary between project ownership and delivery teams, acting as the sole focal point of contact between the Client, consultants, partners, and the Construction Contractor(s), ensuring the desired project objectives are delivered. The role requires specialized ability and intrinsic drive. You have the skills required to direct meetings, present discussion to boost intellect on the wider commercial context and be responsible for the tasks assigned to members of your project team. This is a hands-on role.

• You ensure Health and Safety standards of the company and client are strictly adhered to;
• You will supervise, coordinate towards a successful completion your project in accordance with client requirements, organizational policies/procedures, contract, time and cost specifications;
• You establish the organization chart to ensure proper functioning of his supports in the various sections;
• You correct malfunctions where required, lead by example, motivate staff, encourage high performers and elevate high potential members of your team;
• Apply risk assessment and management principles and processes;
• You are the focal point of contact for the project in all coordination with internal departments;
• You ensure activities between different trades on the project are properly coordinated;
• You validate contractual options, whether technical, financial or time related;
• You validate legal matters, with agreement of BESIX legal department;
• You validate fiscal matters together with Financial and Administration Manager of the project in agreement with the CFO of the BESIX Group;
• You approve all engagements of the project;
• You maintain continuous communication with your line management, update project progress and challenges regularly;
• You conclude supply and sub-contracts after preparatory work of his supports (inclusive pre contract quality and performance audits) in coordination and cooperation with the central procurement teams;
• You engage yourself in social contacts and public relations to the benefit of the Company;
• You will coordinate all third parties, negotiate with contractors, suppliers and subcontractors throughout all stages in the development of the project life cycle;
• You will implement project budgets and resources, enforce project standards, technical reviews, manage team allocation, mobilize qualified personnel and specified tasks and prepare monthly progress reports.

• You have a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, even in the most unexpected situations;
• You are willing and able to perform duties diligently to the quality standards set by the Company and conform to the Company’s policies and business systems and be committed to their implementation and continuous improvement at all times.

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil, Coastal, or Ocean Engineering;
• You have a minimum of 12-15 years post qualification experience in Project Management;
• Minimum last 5 years as a Senior Project Manager (Marine and Civil background);
• Must have worked on marine and/or large infrastructure projects as a Project Manager from inception to completion;
• Middle East experience required;
• You have an advanced understanding of contract management;
• You have gained excellent experience in claim handling and contract management (FIDIC);
• You possess in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge to deal with situations in a background of conceptual understanding;
• Good understanding of marine assurance, legal requirements, and legislation;
• Experienced with MS Office related software;
• You are fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic is of added value.
• You are willing to be assigned in KSA with high flexibility on allocations within the International and Middle East projects.
