Job Description

BESIX Watpac (Watpac Limited) have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst (ICT) to join our Information Services team in our Brisbane head office.  You will act as a key enabler of relationships with internal stakeholders, seeking to understand business needs, translating these into requirements for technical or process solutions and supporting the delivery of the solution to the business. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Complete investigative work and determine, document, and communicate business requirements.
  • Specify effective business processes that improve systems, processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Select, adopt, and adapt appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Use appropriate techniques for predictive plan-driven approaches or adaptive iterative/agile approaches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts and produce business cases.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in an ICT Business Analyst role.
  • Experience of process modelling using the BPMN standard.
  • Knowledge and practical application of Business Analysis best practices based on the IIBA BABoK.
  • Experience in working on Waterfall, Iterative and Agile projects. 
  • Experience developing test plans, test cases and test reports and coordinating and executing tests.
