Job Description

BESIX Watpac are currently seeking a BIM Coordinator to join the QLD Construction team, assisting projects and pre-contracts with BIM workflows and coordination.  The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Advise on best practice technical BIM processes, across all project phases from concept to completion.
  • Implement and manage processes as per the BIM Management and Execution Plans, in accordance with client requirements and in consultation with the Consultants and Subcontractors, to achieve project goals and high-quality coordinated design deliverables.
  • Assess, audit and federate models for project teams and provide reports on status and compliance to the Project Design & Services Manager, Consultants and/or Subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and review BIM information (including clash detection and information checks) and assist the BESIX Watpac BIM Lead or Project Design & Services Manager during project design coordination meetings with the project BIM.
  • Provide technical support to project teams in handling and utilising BIM information with digital tools.
  • Assist project tender teams in preparing graphical construction representation documentation and other design tender documentation.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Established REVIT & AutoCAD experience, predominantly in the building construction sector.
  • Ability to follow, implement and improve custom company & project BIM processes with end deliverables in mind
  • Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and Drafting Standards.
  • Understanding project workflows (schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases, building construction sequencing).
  • Technical understanding of BIM applications, related systems and network infrastructure.
  • Proficient computer skills, including in relevant software programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM Collaborate, AutoCAD, Revizto, Enscape.)
  • Ability to work autonomously and run numerous projects concurrently.
