Description du poste
Following the growing demand to implement Lean production system in the construction industry, BESIX is looking for a Lean Manager.
Based at the BESIX Head Office and part of the Methods and Planning department, your key responsibilities will be to :
- Promote Lean transformation within our organization;
- Coach leaders at all levels;
- Ensure Lean implementation on projects in all stages (tender, design, procurement, execution, reception);
- Coach and manage a dynamic team supporting projects in Lean steps;
- Send offers to site and follow-up related cost control;
- Develop Lean department;
- Report to top management on progress, warnings and mitigation measures to be taken;
- Teach Lean philosophy and tools (mainly LPS and 5S);
Qualifications
Your Profile
- You have an Engineering degree in construction or another similar domain
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French (oral and written) and a good level in English;
- Minimum 5 years of work experience within a construction company;
- Facilitation skills (ability to engage with a wide variety of people)
- Charisma and presence while keeping patience is an asset;
- Curiosity in searching new ways of working;
- Your are convinced that the Construction Industry is ready for a change;
- You identify with our core competencies by possessing an entrepreneurial mind, showing flexibility, being innovative and result-oriented while promoting teamwork
- You possess excellent communication skills, an analytical mind and you are client focused
Competencies defined for this role
- Knowing most of Lean operating system and tools;
- Mastering Last Planner System (LPS) and 5S steps;
- Having successfully implemented LPS on several projects types and stages;
- Gained know how in Lean design;
- Change management and team resistance has no secret for you;
- Continuous improvement driven while seeking for perfection;
