Job Description

BESIX Watpac are seeking an experienced project Quality Manager to work on one of our large-scale multi-disciplinary projects in Melbourne.  The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Lead the application and implementation of the project Quality Management Plans.
  • Ensure Quality controls are appropriately maintained in compliance with specified regulatory, client and Group requirements.
  • Manage scheduling, preparation and conduct of field inspections and audits, including subcontractors and suppliers, to monitor and ensure compliance with project Quality requirements.
  • Manage project inspection and test requirements, ensuring contractual obligations are met and quality standards are achieved.
  • Monitor and coordinate closure of project delivery records and ensure completeness of records to client requirements.
  • Prepare project reporting for Quality objectives and performance.
  • Monitor and maintain the project Quality Management Systems and registers for data, document, and record management.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or a combination of other relevant training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in site-based quality coordination within the construction industry.
  • Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems
  • Experienced in quality management systems, techniques and tools.
  • Ability to interpret project related documents and prepare reports and monitoring compliance documentation.
