Job Description

BESIX Watpac are seeking experienced Contract Administrators to join our Victorian business to work on multi-disciplinary projects. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee subcontract tendering processes including compilation and approval of tender documents and proposed tender list, issue of documents, receipt of tenders, comparison of tenders, and submission of tender recommendations for approval.
  • Assist with general administration of trade packages following award including progress payments, variations and final accounts.
  • Prepare contract documents for each trade package/subcontract and prepare notification together with the prescribed fees under the relevant statutory legislation.
  • Participate in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting in the areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters and cost analysis.
  • Address daily matters relating to contract conditions under the Head Contract and Subcontractors and liaise with the Project and Contract Manager to ensure internal cost controls are being maintained.
  • Administration of variation claims, progress claims and other project related financial matters.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or relevant experience.
  • Prior experience within the building industry.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
