Job Description

BESIX Watpac is focused on its Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 footprint and the capabilities it can bring to the business. This role is key to guiding all aspects of development, administration, and security for the various components within the Microsoft 365 suite with a primary focus on SharePoint, the Power Application Suite and integration services between SharePoint and other business systems. The role will focus on needs analysis, design, build, integration and go-live in addition to support for a growing Microsoft SharePoint environment.

The key responsibilities of this position are to:

  • Administer, support, and operate the BESIX Watpac’s SharePoint On Premise and Office 365 SharePoint Online applications and environments.
  • Administer and support associated Office 365 services and solutions such as OneDrive for Business, PowerApps, Power Automate and office productivity applications.
  • Provide engineering expertise to the Project and Operational Teams to design, develop and deploy SharePoint solutions including integration capabilities between line of business applications.
  • Provide technical input and development skills to enable the migration of SharePoint on premise applications to SharePoint Online.
  • Provide guidance and administration capability for security configuration across the Office 365 suite including management of security settings for the business with a focus on external sharing of documents, defining and implementing classification schemes and data loss prevention settings.
  • Provide technical guidance and development capability for the Microsoft Power Apps suite.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, analyse problems, implement changes, manage vulnerabilities and patching related to the platform.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Established technical specialist administration skills and expertise in SharePoint 2010, 2013, SharePoint Online, PowerAutomate, PowerApps and Office 365 services.
  • Demonstrated technology domain expertise in all aspects of Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365.
  • Experience in administering SharePoint environments with in-depth knowledge in securing the Microsoft Office 365 platform.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in developing, designing and operating SharePoint applications.
  • Capability in programming languages and experience in DevOps and Agile delivery framework.
