The Process Engineer will be responsible for project execution for municipal, industrial, and power waste treatment or water treatment projects.

You will be responsible for performing activities associated with waste/water treatment, process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, waste/water characterization, and ensuring compliance with disposal criteria and municipal disposal restrictions of final form waste/water. Seeking a client focused individual with strong technical and consulting skills. 

Of particular necessity to fulfil this role, is demonstrable experience in the engineering, development and construction of Water Treatment Plants, a detailed working knowledge of Reverse-Osmosis technology, and ideally a good working knowledge of the municipal regulations (associated with sewerage and drainage) of the Emirate of Dubai.

• Lay out specifications for the flow of the waste/water through the system;
• Engage with contractors, partners and government agencies during the building of new water treatment systems and ensure that all the building and process specifications comply with project and municipal specifications;
• Modeling of biological, chemical, and physical unit waste/water treatment processes;
• Modeling of waste/water in industrial processes;
• Performing primary engineering and feasibility studies;
• Performing bench and pilot scale treatability studies;
• Preparation of engineering reports;
• Conducting process and equipment sizing calculations;
• Developing opinions of probable project cost;
• Coordinating design with other design disciplines;
• Where applicable, manage engineering programme and monitor the detailed engineering conducted by subcontractor or other appointed specialists;
• Developing design drawings and specifications;
• Oversee BIM Modelling of Process Plant;
• Reviewing shop drawing submittals.
• Assist the Procurement Team with the sourcing and appointment of partner organisations for the development and construction of Water Treatment Plants.

• Process Engineer has to be least a Bachelor's of Science Degree in a field related to waste/water engineering (such as Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering);
• A Master's Degree  is highly preferred;
• Minimum of 10 years’ technical experience and background in Waste/Water Treatment;
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of BIM360;
• Ability to perform work in engineering and construction environments;
• Experience or training in project definition, design, process control, and statistics;
• Highly self-motivated and directed;
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentations and working effectively with peers;
• Advocate of standards and process improvement;
• Experience with Change and Problem Management;
• Methodical approach and able to work multiple projects or tasks concurrently;
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
• Good written and oral communication skill;
• Must have good analytical abilities, be creative and initiative, and the ability to prepare technical papers for oral presentations.
