Job Description

The visionary Kangaroo Point Green Bridge is being delivered by the BESIX Watpac led Connect Brisbane team.  BESIX Watpac are seeking a Project or Site Engineer with infrastructure experience to join our project team.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and monitor project management plans, systems and registers, as delegated by the Project Director.
  • Establish and monitor quality controls as per specifications and project management plans in addition to reporting variances and rectifying quality non-conformance.
  • Identify and manage project resources, including materials handling equipment, for optimum productivity.
  • Assist with cost management and reporting including preparation of project reports and registers.
  • Review, revise, interpret and implement all requirements listed within works programming documentation to meet contractual requirements and to ensure efficiency and productivity. Assist the Site Manager with medium term planning and programming.
  • Assist with health and safety incident and compliance reports, in accordance with the contractual requirements, government legislation and internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Project or Site Engineering capacity delivering large infrastructure projects.
  • Experienced in project quality management systems, techniques and tools.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
