Job Description

BESIX Watpac are currently seeking an Application Support specialist with expertise in Office 365 and SharePoint administration and support, to join our Information Systems team based at our head office in Newstead.  The key responsibilities of this position includes:

  • Provide level 2/3 application support for the Service Desk on incidents and requests.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during interactions with users.
  • Investigate and resolve problems relating to applications (root cause analysis, remediation activities).
  • Undertake application administration & routine maintenance tasks.
  • Plan & manage software upgrades, updates and patches.
  • Monitor and report on application up-time and performance.
  • Develop & publish application training material.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in an application support role.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft 365 administration (particularly with SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform).
  • Proven experience working in an IT function that uses ITIL process and practices. 
  • Good organisational and task management skills.
  • Good root cause analysis skills with a systematic approach to solving problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (telephone, face to face, and written) who can build relationships at all levels of the business.
