Job Description

The visionary Kangaroo Point Green Bridge is being delivered by the BESIX Watpac led Connect Brisbane team.  BESIX Watpac are seeking a Quality & Environmental Coordinator to join our project team to support the implementation and monitoring of project Quality and Environment objectives and requirements on site.  This role will be offered on a permanent, full-time basis.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assist with the implementation of the project Quality and Environment Management Plans.
  • Ensure Quality and Environmental controls are appropriately maintained in compliance with regulatory, client and Group requirements.
  • Assist with scheduling, preparation and conduct of field inspections and audits, including subcontractors and suppliers, to monitor and ensure compliance with project Quality and Environmental requirements.
  • Assist with the inspection and test requirements, ensuring contractual obligations are met and quality standards are achieved.
  • Monitor and coordinate closure of project delivery records and ensure completeness of records to client requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of project reporting for Quality objectives and performance.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining of the project Quality and Environmental Management Systems and registers for data, document, and record management.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in site-based quality coordination within the construction industry.
  • Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems
  • Experienced in quality management systems, techniques and tools.
  • Ability to interpret project related documents and prepare reports and monitoring compliance documentation.
