Job Description

A joint venture between Hitachi Zosen Inova and BESIX are currently building the biggest EfW plant in the world in Dubai which is a key component of Dubai’s sustainability strategy. The mobilisation process to operate the plant is in full speed and we now are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist who, together with key stakeholders, will define and document entire HR life cycle platform including processes, policies, guidelines and templates. Below are key responsibilities of the successful candidate:

  • Define an HR life cycle platform including processes, policies, guidelines and templates of the Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment, compensation & benefits, learning & development, performance management and company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Prepare, align, and develop HR schemes, policies, and procedure in close cooperation with key stakeholders
  • Revamp and create job descriptions to align HR initiatives and functions with the overall business objectives & needs.
  • Define & align human resources programs, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation & benefits, health & safety and welfare benefits, training and development, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and labor relations
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information
  • Create and improve job offer templates, amendment letters and employment contracts
  • Evaluate & propose staffing needs while working closely with the senior operation team
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Complete special projects by setting timetables and schedules; conducting research and surveys; market trends.
  • Focus in developing/providing Dashboards/ Progress Report particularly in views of HR KPIs
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor regulation
  • Manage expectations by communicating HR project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues
  • Comply with local legal requirements & anticipate regulation by enforcing adherence to senior management on needed actions
  • Awareness about the importance of HR at all levels; ability to influence positively senior operations & to ensure a healthy working environment and culture within the organization

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven hands on experience of HR practices, compliance and regulations in UAE
  • Excellent communicator and ability to advise & influence in multicultural working environmental
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with proven track record of deliverables and high accuracy
  • Results-driven & ability to take initiatives
  • Understanding change management principles, organization structures, strategies, and techniques required for planning & implementing a new organization
  • Collaborative, self-driven, and facilitating personality with a strong affinity for customer satisfaction
  • Creative thinker & attentive to details
  • Suburb interpersonal & writing skills
  • Fluency in English (written, spoken, read), other languages are a plus
  • Advanced computer skills & administrative expertise

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Human Resources; BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field;
  • Minimum of 8+ years of work experience as an HR Generalist/ Specialist/Manager in the Middle East;
  • Sound knowledge & preferably experience in handling company joint venture (JV)/merger;
  • Candidate is ready to take the role on a temporary contract (3 to 6 months)
