For a new projects (buildings) based in Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane / Christchurch, BESIX Watpac is looking for Planning engineers.

Your Main Tasks:

• You are responsible for defining the appropriate techniques and the sequence of the construction program for one or more of our construction projects;
• You assess the viability and possibility of different construction methods, in order to decide which one is the best in terms of budget, logistics, and timing;
• Your planning will be used to specify and decide the timing of the project;
• You monitor the progress of the construction site, and take action to smooth or correct the construction process;
• You work out all your planning in clear documentation, so they can easily be accessed and used by the site engineers;

Your competencies

• You are a developed construction specialist, who has experience in different domains (building, civil works, marine works) and aspects (design, tender, site office) of construction;
• You have a flexible personality, who looks critically to his own working area and looks continuously out for ways to do it better;
• You challenge the prevailing assumptions within your working area and you propose effective ideas for improvement of existing processes within the Company;
• You are an excellent communicator, who is capable of explaining and reporting clearly to project and operational management and to the client;
• You are able to work efficiently and autonomously on larger projects where your knowledge is required, so that a high return on investment and a value added service is guaranteed.

• You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil/Construction.
• You have a minimum between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in different aspects of construction;
• You demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn quickly and to work independently in a stressful work environment.
• You have a very good knowledge/ use of Primavera P6.
• You have very good knowledge with MS Office package.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are ready to settle in Australia
