Job Description

Due to a major project win BESIX Watpac are looking for a quality coordinator to be based on site close to Melbourne Airport, reporting directly to the Project Manager and state quality manager you will be responsible for driving quality outcomes and culture on a project of national significance. 

  • Report to senior management/ Project Manager on the performance of the Quality and Environment Management Systems and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Plan and coordinate the Internal Audits of projects
  • Ensure all relevant issues including Incidents, NCRs and CARs are logged in the appropriate database
  • Assist the Project Manager / Engineer and ensure all inspections are carried out and recorded
  • Ensure corrective action is undertaken as required
  • Preparation and distribution of Quality / Environmental reports as required
  • Ensure adherence to the relevant accreditations at all times 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Quality and Environment disciplines, or a related discipline, or suitable experience
  • Previous experience as a QA Coordination or management role for a building/construction organisation or suitable experience
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills through development of productive relationships with colleagues and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment
