Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our team and be part of the growth ahead. This role has geographic responsibility for the Victorian and South Australian regions and is supported by a People Advisor and Resourcing Manager. You will partner with business leaders to provide operational and strategic People advice, guidance and coaching on a range of HR and employment related matters

You will have prior HR Generalist experience (preferably in the construction industry or similar) and thrive in a fast paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be confident in partnering with a business that is undergoing transformation and able to effectively lead change management. 

About the role

Key focuses of this role will include:

  • Performance management and employee relations.
  • Resourcing, remuneration management and retention strategies.
  • Succession planning and talent mapping.
  • Change management.
  • Application of HR policies, practices and legislation.
  • The employment life cycle; onboarding, inductions, exits and terminations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrated HR Generalist experience, preferably within the construction industry or similar.
  • Leadership and influencing skills with the ability to build strong rapport with client groups.
  • Effective problem solving skills, a high level of initiative, an energetic approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Australian HR/IR management, including sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Must be willing to travel both locally and interstate.
